Three children were found living in “absolute squalor” in a Michigan home riddled with mold and human waste after their mother abandoned them and left them to live on their own without soap or toilet paper for at least four years,

A teenage boy and his two young sisters were found living alone at a home in Pontiac on Feb. 14 in "unspeakably horrific" conditions, authorities said

"Obviously, the trauma here is significant," Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said in announcing the charges Wednesday.
