Trump posted his comments on the Veteran’s Affairs hospital ICU nurse early Friday. “Alex Pretti’s stock has gone way down with the just released video of him screaming and spitting in the face of a very calm and under control ICE Officer,” he wrote.
The investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security, known as Homeland Security Investigations, had been leading the investigation into the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis.
Donald Trump has appeared to undermine Second Amendment rights in statements about Alex Pretti’s killing. Many in the firearms community are going along with it.
The Washington Post has reported that VA officials in Washington also initially blocked Minneapolis hospital employees from holding a memorial for Pretti, though that decision was later reversed.
Micayla Pretti, the sister of Alex Pretti, is being represented by Tony Cotton, the attorney confirmed Jan. 30.
