Avi Small officially submitted his letter of resignation Friday after being suspended pending an investigation into at least one sexual-harassment complaint against him.

Avi Small, who had served as Gov. Kathy Hochul’s longtime press secretary, was accused of inappropriately touching another male aide.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s press secretary abruptly stepped down following allegations of sexual harassment at a staff retreat, according to Spectrum News. Avi Small, who held the role since 2023, was put on leave immediately after the June 16 incident was reported.
