Progressive activist David Hogg on Wednesday announced he will not be running in the Democratic National Committee’s upcoming election, leaving his post as vice chair following months of tense party infighting over his plan to take down Democratic incumbents.

Democratic National Committee Vice Chair David Hogg announced Wednesday that he won't be running for reelection for his role after DNC members voted to redo his election.

David Hogg will not seek reelection to his Democratic National Committee vice chair position after the party announced Wednesday that members had voted to redo the contests he and another officer won in February.
