NFL rules require the team to release a depth chart before its first preseason game. It has become clear over the last two years, though, that coach Sean Payton does not take the preseason depth chart very seriously, and he only releases it because the team is required to.

Ahead of Saturday's preseason opener, the LA Rams released their first depth chart of the summer, listing starters and backups at each position.

While the depth chart is unofficial, it's the first peek at what the Vikings are anticipating to send out onto the field Saturday when they kick off the preseason against the Houston Texans. However, not every starter on the unofficial depth chart will be on the field on Saturday.
