North American Aerospace Defense Command issued a statement saying it would be enforcing Federal Aviation Administration flight restrictions over Anchorage, Alaska, "in support of the presidential summit.

The military base on the northern edge of Anchorage had to meet the security requirements for the historic meeting.

The leaders of the United States and Russia will hold talks at an American military base in Alaska and are expected to hold a news conference afterward.
