Shohei Ohtani is getting close to being back on the mound for the Dodgers, but the wait could be longer than some think.

Per ESPN's Karl Ravech, "there is a growing feeling among Dodgers that Shohei Ohtani will return to pitching sometime this week" after not pitching for the last season-plus. Earlier this week, Ohtani threw 44 pitches across three simulated innings at Petco Park in San Diego,

Harrison has surrendered eight earned runs on 13 hits and three walks across 9 1/3 innings over his past two starts, while May has been sharp at home for the Dodgers. The Los Angeles starter has a tidy 2.97 ERA and 1.11 WHIP across his six home starts, and May has recorded 5+ strikeouts in five of the six with 10.0 K/9 and a 27.2 strikeout rate.
