NASCAR has pushed back on Denny Hamlin's reasons for teams to shoot down the 'run what you brung' exhibition race

NASCAR's Mike Forde has responded to Denny Hamlin's claims that the proposed All-Star "Run What Ya Brung" feature would have cost the teams roughly $2 million.

Denny Hamlin wants NASCAR to step in after Ross Chastain made a controversial block during the NASCAR Cup Series Talladega race this past weekend. On the Actions Detrimental podcast, Hamlin called for NASCAR enforcement after Chastain’s block.
