NHL rumours: Losing streak gets mill rolling for New York Rangers
It’s no secret that the New York Rangers haven’t played nearly as well as anyone expected before the season. However, the last few weeks have been especially devastating.
Most of Drury’s moves last season were aimed at shedding veterans to shake up the Rangers’ core, but Miller was a very notable exception. He was coveted for his ferocious play style and fiery leadership, then promptly named the franchise’s 29th captain less than eight months after being acquired from Vancouver.
Video newly obtained by WBZ appears to show a New York Rangers fan push a Boston Bruins fan down the stairs at TD Garden.
RANGERS RUNDOWN The New York Rangers are back at The Garden on Monday to face the Seattle Kraken in their second and final matchup of the regular season (7:00 PM - TV: MSG/NHL Network - Radio: ESPN 880 AM).
If you’re looking for the Rangers to totally change course coming off a fourth straight loss — and seventh in eight games — that didn’t happen Tuesday.
The New York Rangers are bereft of impact players. We know it, and head coach Mike Sullivan will know it. The vaunted 2026 free-agent class is now a dud. There are no obvious top players the Rangers can anticipate will be available either at the trade deadline or in the offseason.
The Ottawa Senators took care of business on Tuesday night against the last-place Vancouver Canucks and will look to do the same on Wednesday night in New York City against the Rangers, who enter the game last in the Eastern Conference.
Through all of Mike Sullivan’s mixing and matching of the New York Rangers’ line combinations, the duo of Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad has been a consistent link.
