A 15-foot reticulated python caused panic in a Garland neighborhood by trapping a man on top of his truck before animal control officers safely captured it.

The animal control worker was eventually able to capture the python. A city spokesperson said authorities found the snake’s owner, who plans to reclaim the animal Wednesday and take it outside city limits. Garland prohibits the ownership of exotic animals within city limits.
