It comes after Storm Éowyn caused disruption on Friday and Saturday, including multiple power cuts and gusts of up to 93mph (159km/h). The Met Office said: "Periods of heavy rain could eventually lead to some flooding of roads and properties.

Storm Herminia was named by Spain’s weather service Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (Aemet) on Friday and has already torn through the north of the country and into France. Heavy rains and gusts of wind exceeding 62mph were recorded in northern Spain and it caused flooding in western France.

A further yellow wind warning stretching from the south coast up to north east England is in place from 10pm on Sunday until 7am on Monday, while a rain warning covering southern and central England and Wales is in place until 6am on Monday. Another rain warning over most of Wales will remain in place until 11:59pm on Monday.
