Anthony Davis explained a hugely unselfish gesture made by LeBron James when the two first paired up as members of the Los Angeles Lakers.

In an appearance on Mavs TV, veteran big man Anthony Davis shed some light on his experience as LeBron James' co-star. On the subject of his switch to No. 3 in 2019. Davis revealed that James had tried to offer him his signature number before he politely declined.

Davis revealed that James offered him the No. 23 jersey—the same number Davis wore during his time with the New Orleans Pelicans —when he first arrived in LA.
