Winter storm brings heavy snow and wintry mix to the St. Louis area during Thanksgiving weekend
We have been monitoring this trend for the last few days, issuing a Weather Impact Alert ahead of this storm on Monday, and now it's really taking shape. An impressive winter storm is headed our way during a time when many people are on the roads for this holiday weekend.
We’re still on track for a Friday–Saturday winter storm, and it’s starting to look more and more likely that there will be a pretty good chunk of our region that gets 4 to 6+ inches of snow.
The National Weather Service has issued Winter Storm Warnings for all counties along and south of Highway 14. Warnings will be in effect from early Saturday morning into early Sunday morning. Highway 14 should be the line that separates heavy to moderate snowfall amounts.
