F ree agent reliever Devin Williams has agreed to a contract with the New York Mets, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press on Monday night. The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the deal was pending a physical and had not been announced.

New York Mets owner Steve Cohen has won approval to build and run a casino next to Citi Field in Queens. The state gaming commission approved licenses for two other projects in New York City. Cohen wants to build an $8 billion complex on what's currently a parking lot next to the team's baseball stadium.
