Woman accused of faking domestic violence story to get money from victims arrested again, HPD says
"She (had) kids crying in the car," a retired teacher said after giving the woman $300. Police say Joanna King raised more than $3,000 by faking a domestic violence story.
Prosecutors say the woman used money in an account holding bail money to make credit-card payments and to pay her landlord.
Investigators discovered “several withdrawals taken from her bail account which appeared to be for personal use,” prosecutors said.
