Just as one storm moves out, another is brewing and bringing up to 36 inches of snow to areas of the country.

Rain in the Denver metro area changed over to heavy snow early Tuesday evening.

Flurries will dust the Denver area through Wednesday afternoon after an overnight snowstorm dumped several inches across the metro, according to the National Weather Service.

The snow was also causing travel impacts across the metro Wednesday morning, and more than 20,000 customers had no power due to the snowy conditions.
