Mar. 31—ST. PAUL — Anglers fishing on Upper Red Lake will be able to keep five walleyes, with only one walleye over 17 inches allowed, during the 2025 open-water season that opens Saturday, May 10.

After carefully monitoring the ice conditions over the weekend, the restriction will be lifted at sunrise on Jan. 10, as colder weather and calmer winds have allowed the ice conditions to improve.
