Happy Gilmore 2 just dropped on Netflix, and while it’s probably not going to win any Oscars, most fans seem to be really pleased with the sequel, me included. It’s a goofy good time with some big laughs and a ton of cameos and returning characters. It also includes one big WTF death scene that left me and the actress involved absolutely shocked.
Bowen, 55, has looked back on her upbringing with a real estate developer father who taught her a "golden rule" about success.
Bowen reprises her character, Virginia Venit, in the comedy classic's second installment. Within the first four minutes of the film, Venit — who's since married Happy, welcomed five kids together and started a family — gets killed off, a tragedy caused by her husband.
What happens to Virginia Venit in Happy Gilmore 2? Julie Bowen's character, Happy's wife, is killed off and fans aren't happy. Happy kills her by hitting her in the head.
The long-awaited sequel sees Adam Sandler, Christopher McDonald and Julie Bowen reprise their roles alongside a long list of A-list stars.
