The New York Islanders (20-20-7) won their third straight game, defeating the Philadelphia Flyers (22-22-6) 3-1 on Friday night in UBS Arena.

The New York Islanders won three games in a row for just the second time this season, but also the second time this month, as they began to rehabilitate a seven-game homestand that started off with two losses.

The Flyers struggle in the second half of a back-to-back rolls on. With a 3-1 loss to the New York Islanders on Friday night, they are now 1-7-1 on Day 2. It comes after a 6-1 loss to the New York Rangers on Thursday, moving their record to 5-3-2 on Day 1.
