NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A district court judge has resentenced Danette Colbert to 25 years following a trial that occurred in 2024, in which she was sentenced for computer fraud and theft.

Danette Colbert, 48, had previously been given a suspended sentence by an Orleans Parish judge last year after being convicted of theft and fraud charges.

Danette Colbert, 48, was arrested on February 7 after Telemundo reporter Adam Manzano, 27, was found dead in New Orleans hotel room. Colbert had accompanied the reporter to his room the night before.

He was in town to cover Super Bowl LIX weekend in New Orleans. Adan Manzano, a 27-year-old reporter and television anchor based in Kansas City, Missouri, suffocated while lying face down on a pillow.
