Newcastle United are pushing forward in their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Hugo Ekitiké. Fabrizio Romano reports that the Premier League side have submitted an opening offer to the Hessen

The Telegraph say that Newcastle United are now looking to get a deal done to sign Hugo Ekitike, so that he can play alongside Alexander Isak and play as the lone striker in matches where Isak may be rested or unavailable.

Newcastle United are working on a deal worth around €75million to sign Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike. While an agreement is not yet close, talks are ongoing between the clubs over a potential deal which would eclipse Newcastle’s previous record transfer – the €71.2m they paid Real Sociedad for Aleksander Isak in summer 2022.
