Sacramento county law enforcement partner with the California department of justice and homeland security to fight human trafficking crisis in the capital city.

The task force will combine resources from federal, state and local agencies to root out sexual and labor-related exploitation, authorities said.

A new Oakland County task force focused on human trafficking has netted its first arrest, that of a 61-year-old Redford Township man who allegedly plied two area women with drugs and forced them into prostitution.

The task force’s mission, according to a press release, is “to lead with survivor-informed practices, raise awareness, and deliver a coordinated response to human trafficking in northern Arizona.”
