Local governments in western North Carolina can apply for grants from a new $55 million state infrastructure program designed to help small businesses in the region recover from Hurricane Helene.

Belk is opening its latest outlet store at Eastridge Mall in Gastonia on Wednesday. The outlet will operate on the first floor, while the second floor will continue to operate as a traditional store.
