Anthony Davis has been ruled out of what would have been his second game with the Mavericks amid reports that a groin injury sustained in his Dallas debut could sideline him for multiple weeks.

The man who was the prize for the Dallas Mavericks in dealing Luka Doncic is 10-time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis. Davis brings quite the legacy to the Lone Star State, having anchored the Los Angeles Lakers frontcourt to an NBA title shortly after the breakout of COVID-19.

Davis suffered an adductor strain and is expected to miss up to a month of action. Luckily for the Mavericks, it appears that Davis will be able to avoid getting surgery to repair
