"How much snow is actually on the ground by the time the event ends is still kind of a big question mark, since there could be some melting as we change over from snow to rain on Saturday night to Sunday morning," said Robert Megnia, a NWS meteorologist.

DEDHAM, Mass. — More than a half foot of snow fell overnight in many Massachusetts communities, but keep the shovel handy because there will be multiple chances for additional snowfall this week. The Boston 25 Weather team is tracking the possibility of more snow on Wednesday, Thursday, and over the weekend.

The snow will arrive Saturday between 10 p.m. and midnight. Once it arrives, it will hit the ground running. The majority of the snow accumulation will occur between midnight and 7 a.m. on Sunday. There will be some light snow and flurries between 7 a.m. and noon but very little additional accumulation.
