Days of demonstrations against federal immigration raids in Los Angeles have fueled round-the-clock news coverage and a number of misleading social media posts, including unrelated videos being mislabeled or shared out of context.
In response to the growing protests, the Marines have been mobilized to help the National Guard. The 700 marines are working out of the naval weapons station in Seal Beach and just finished that training on Wednesday.
Monday's protests were largely calmer than Sunday's clashes. California officials insist that the 4,000 National Guards troops and 700 active duty Marines en route to L.A. are an unnecessary abuse of power by Trump.
