Tropical Storm Dexter has picked up some strength as it continues to drift away from the northeastern U.S. coast, while two other systems continue to brew in the Atlantic Ocean. The National Hurricane Center said in an advisory on Wednesday morning,

Tropical Storm Dexter could come close to becoming the Atlantic season's first hurricane, if it survives its battle with wind shear and dry air.

Tropical Storm Dexter is continuing to head east-northeast to the middle of the Atlantic Ocean as it strengthens Wednesday morning, however forecasters say Dexter has a day or two left as a tropical system.
