BSE Sensex and Nifty50, the Indian equity benchmark indices, crashed in trade on Friday. While BSE Sensex went below 73,3200, Nifty50 was below 22,150.

Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty 50 logged their worst day in around five months on Friday, with Nifty 50 posting its longest monthly losing streak since 1996 on pessimism over domestic market conditions.

All sectoral indices ended in the red, posting losses between 1% and 10%. A majority of Nifty stocks delivered negative returns, with 46 of the 50 stocks declining. Notably, 15 of them fell by 5% or more.
