Seven Chilean nationals have been charged in connection with breaking in and stealing property worth more than $2 million from professional athletes’ homes –– including those purportedly belonging to Kansas City Chiefs players Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

Federal prosecutors say the men were part of a South American theft group that broke into the homes of a number of famous athletes.

Seven men have been charged in connection with a spree of burglaries targeting professional athletes across the US. Goods worth more than $2m (£1.58m) were stolen from the homes of NBA and NFL players in a series of break-ins which began in October 2024.
