LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The man accused of abducting a pregnant Beaver Dam teen and taking her across state lines wants his federal trial to be delayed.
Sophia Franklin, 16, of Wisconsin, previously told police she met Gary Francis Day online in April 2024, according to a criminal complaint obtained by Newsweek.
Sophia Martha Franklin had been reported missing on Feb. 3, after she was last seen at her home in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, about 60 miles northwest of Milwaukee.
That included Sophia Franklin, the pregnant 16-year-old Wisconsin girl who was alleged to have been abducted in February from her Beaver Dam home and later recovered at an Omaha truck stop on April 3.
