The filmmaker says it took the right idea and a lot of money for the fake band to reunite for Spinal Tap II: The End Continues.

Spinal Tap 2 has released its official trailer, showcasing some of its big-name cameos and the role for a certain Taskmaster favourite. Titled Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, the film sees Nigel, David and Derek reunite for one more gig after one of their songs becomes a viral hit.

Rob Reiner confirmed to CinemaBlend that he leaned on the advice of some of his famous friends, like Paul McCartney (who appears in the sequel), for some insight into that experience.
