At Least 5 States Were Issued Wind Advisories Today
High winds pose significant risks to residents and travelers throughout the affected regions as the National Weather Service issues wind advisories.
Update: Wind advisory previously issued will expire at 6 p.m.
The advisory was for Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington, Ocean, Cumberland, Atlantic and Cape May counties.

On Wednesday at 3:32 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory in effect until Thursday at 1 a.m. for Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.

On Wednesday at 4 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory in effect until 9 p.m. for Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Tompkins and Cortland counties. The weather service describes, “Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
