I do know of lots of guys that have F-250's and F-350's in the '94 to '97 range, and none of them seem to have any particular problems. The engine is pretty much bullet proof. So is the tranny IF it has had regular and frequent fluid changes and has never been allowed to overheat.

I own a Ford F-250 4X4 SD with a V 10. When I got it new, I was getting about 10.7 mpg. After the first oil change, mpg dropped to about 10.0 gradually, by the second oil change I was down to 9.7. After a round trip from Michigan to South Texas in December, I am down to about 9.3 or 9.2 mpg.

I have a 1999 F150, with 4.6L V8, supercab, auto transmission. The code for the axle ratio is H9. When I called a Ford service dept, they told me they could only check back to 2000, but the H9 indicated a 3.55 axle ratio.

I have a 1989 Ford F-250 (mileage about 190k) with the 351W engine in it that has recently developed a condition where after a certain amount of driving the engine starves for fuel suddenly and stalls out.

I own a 1995 Ford F-250 power stroke diesel truck. The truck starts fine and run for two or three miles before stalling. The truck will restart but only after it has cooled down-The longer it has cooled down the longer it will run-but again only for two or three miles. The battery light was coming on in the dash so I had the alternator checked.

When we get to a stretch of road that has regular intervals of bumps the truck seems to develop a certain harmonic rocking motion which is followed by a sudden and severe surging of the transmission.

Jul 26, 2008 · I have a 2005 Ford F-350 King Ranch. On my way to work this morning I experienced a violent vibration when my front tires hit a bump on the freeway; i was going 65-68 mph when it happens. It scared the hell out of me, my truck is stock not lifted. May be we should start a petition regarding this problem with Ford F-250, 350, 450 truck series.
