🏈On January 2, 1967 the 53rd Rose Bowl Game was held in front of 101,438 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The game matched the number 7 Purdue Boilermakers of the Big Ten Conference and the unranked USC Trojans of the AAWU (Pac-8). Purdue won 14−13, after USC scored a touchdown in the 4th quarter and opted to go for a 2-point conversion to win the game, rather than kicking an extra point to tie.
