Getting these single piece axle boots installed ended up being far easier than I expected it to be. • I first flipped the boot inside out (this is a key first step), then dunked it in a bucket of hot hot water to soften it up a bit. Next I used a bit of lube and a couple of screw drivers to work the boot around the flange. This takes some physical effort, but it is overall very very easy to do. I don’t really mess with transaxles. And I haven’t really dealt with a swing axle before, so we are leaning on the job here. Haha. Would I like to tear one of these apart one day? Yup, for sure. But today is likely not that day. We’ll clean things up and inspect what we can, but this is about as far as we’ll go. The real question is this- split boot or solid? I know what the answer is if I want to enjoy my afternoon… but I’m not really known for taking the path of least resistance 😂😂 | Annie's
