The Falkirk Wheel is a unique rotating boat lift in Scotland that connects the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. Opened in 2002, it was built to restore Scotland’s historic canal network. It lifts boats 24 meters and operates using Archimedes’ principle, ensuring balance by keeping each gondola at a constant weight.
