A red-morph rehab and release! 🦉 Thanks to a local raptor rehabilitation program, this red-morph eastern screech owl was released back into the wild at Busiek State Forest and Wildlife Area. Teamwork Helps A Screech Owl Return Home part 2/2 On a warm spring evening, this Eastern Screech Owl eagerly launched into the skies as she returned to her home territory. Making a beautiful turn and ascending into the treetops, she happily perched on a nearby branch. Home again. Teamwork helped make this possible. Support from many of you and collaboration with wildlife veterinarian, Dr Bakken, helped this owl return home. A habitat with an abundance of trees, understory bushes and shrubs, and
