In Al Fasher, Sudan, children and families are trapped as fighting engulfs the city. Across Darfur, the situation is dire, with rising malnutrition and disease. Last week, UNICEF’s Ted Chaiban was in Darfur. He met mothers like Salwa and Samiya, who are struggling to feed and protect their children. This is unacceptable. The violence must stop.
