The National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP) will soon begin distributing more effective Treated Mosquito Bed Nets thanks to a recommendation from the Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases( CRID). The recommendation is a fruit of the recent discovery of a DNA marker responsible for mosquito resistance to the insecticides on the bed nets, championed by CRID.
