From transplant to touchdown, Jaxon’s journey is one of resiliency. One year after receiving a pediatric heart transplant at Mayo Clinic Children's, he is back doing what he loves — including scoring his first-ever touchdown for the Mankato East Cougars. “It was terrifying to learn in that moment that our child needed a new heart to survive,” says Sarah, Jaxon’s mom. “At the same time, we were overwhelmed by the compassion, clarity and confidence that the Mayo team caring for him shared.” Thanks
