For those who observed May the 4th 🌌🔫 this Jukebox Sunday Star Wars Disco by Meco is for you! This track was soooo much fun to make. It was recorded in early June of 1977, within days of the first Star Wars movie release (which was May 25, 1977 🎥), and came out in late June that year. 🎬 Basically, the genius arranger Harold Wheeler got the arrangements together, at a breakneck pace, for us to record the basic tracks before strings and overdubs were added. It reached #1 on the Billboard chart
